SPECTRUM Director elected as Academy of Medical Sciences Fellow

Consortium Director of SPECTRUM, Professor Linda Bauld, has been elected as Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences in recognition of her research aimed at addressing some of society’s most significant health challenges. Professor Bauld has guided policies with her behavioural studies, including life-saving smoke free legislation and standardised tobacco packaging.

I am delighted to be elected as Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and look forward to collaborating with such a diverse and dynamic community of scientists and clinicians.

Fellowship is awarded to those who evidence exceptional contributions to the advancement of biomedical and health science, cutting edge research discoveries and translating developments into benefits for patients and the wider society.

The diverse talent along with the knowledge, influence and resources within the Fellow community ensures that the Academy is able to deal with complex health issues, which extend beyond the traditional boundaries of medicine.
